Built at the entrance of the picturesque Cretan village of Plaka, 800 meters away from Almyrida Beach and 23 kilometeres from the vibrant city of Chania, lie Demeliza Apts..
This was one of the first two small hotels in Plaka back in the 70’s, owned by my Granny Maria. The building boasts the class, simplicity and the spacious rooms reminiscent of the ‘’good old times’’.
Closed for many years, after my grandmother had passed away, I have now decided, as her only grandchild named after her, to renovate it and put it back to business. Its renovation has preserved its original classic style with simple lines and décor, whilst enhancing the hotel with all the basic modern facilities such as wifi, satellite tv, a/c .
Demeliza blends harmoniously with the sea and mountain views without short-changing any of nature’s beauty. Cozy, hospitable, fully furnished, with fully equipped living rooms and kitchens, it offers you a selection of 4 different Self Catering apartment types to choose from, according to your needs: 2 bedrooms with 2 baths, 1 bedroom, Studio and Superior Studio.
I am at your disposal for any information or queries you may have.

About our Village
Plaka is one of the best-known and most traditional villages in West Crete, in the Apokoronas area and it is located 25 km from main Chania city
It is a friendly little village, set out in a horseshoe shape on the hillside, with an excellent view of Almyrida and of course Souda Bay and the azure Sea of Crete. In terms of view Plaka is one of the few areas that combine sea views and mountain views as you also have views to the White mountains (Madares).
The village is green with plants and largely preserves its lovely natural environment, as it is set on the slopes of Mount Drapanokefala with its verdant, varied vegetation. You can see olive and plane trees, low scrub and even organic farms, which do not detract from the charm of the area.
